Halo 3 Is Free To Download For Xbox Live Gold Subscribers

Halo 3 was promised to be one of the Xbox Live Arcade Gold's free games for the month of October, and that time has come.

Technically, the promotion is supposed to begin tomorrow, but the game is currently showing up for free on Microsoft's website. Halo 3 will be available to download for free until the end of the month. You can head here to download the game remotely.

Our Take
Halo 3 is a great choice for Xbox Live's Games With Gold promotion. So good in fact, that it probably should have been among the first to be offered. It might have done well to get people interested in the promotion and inspire new Gold subscribers. That being said, it's a still a great game, and if you've got a Gold subscription, there's no reason not to recommend it.
