Pokémon was unleashed worldwide today, and Nintendo has shared some photos from its launch event at Nintendo World in New York.
Tons of people showed up to pick up the latest Pokémon release, and as you can see above, Jeff W. from Long Island took the opportunity to propose to his now fiance Debbie G.

Our Take
Pokémon X & Y appears to be a huge success for Nintendo. I'll be curious to learn how the game sold, as it seems to be appealing to new and old fans alike. The release of new Pokémon games have always been big exciting events, but It feels like there hasn't been this much fervor for the series in a long time.
