Artist Imagines What Realistic Pokémon Might Look Like

by Kyle Hilliard on Oct 04, 2013 at 07:29 AM

We posted our review for the upcoming X & Y today, and even though Pokémon have finally, officially moved into the third dimension, they're not quite as impressive as this art.

Artist RJ Palmer has been creating these very impressive realistic Pokémon for quite some time. You can see more of his collection on his blog, as well as his DeviantArt page. He's also collected most of his work into a book which you can buy here, and place on a coffee table.

We reached out to Palmer to find out what sort of plans he has in store for the new Pokémon of X & Y, and he says he has something in the works. He promises that we will see a Tyrantrum from him in the future, and he wants to draw some of the Mega Evolutions. Palmer has a Feraligatr piece of art that he says should be done in the next few days, and then he will move on to Meganium, and the Legendary bird trio, Articuno, Zapdos, and Molters. We will make sure to link to Palmer's new art when he posts it online.
