Here's How To Get Into The Dark Souls II Beta

Do you want to help test Dark Souls II? If so, you might want to read on and find out how Namco Bandai is going to roll out the different phases of its testing.

The first batch of 5,000 participants will be welcomed into a network test on October 12, 2013. A larger group will be invited for an October 26, 2013, testing phase.

In order to qualify, you'll need to own a PlayStation 3 with 3.7 GB of free space. You'll need to already have a PlayStation ID and agree to the testing terms of use.

Those that qualify will be sent a code via the PlayStation Network. That code can be redeemed on a first-come, first-served basis (so move quickly).

The beta is under a non-disclosure agreement, so you won't be able to tweet, talk, YouTube, Facebook, or Instagram about what you see. Progress during the testing phase will not carry over to the final version.

Our Take
Dark Souls has a loyal following amongst gamers. I expect that once these codes are distributed, the 5,000 spots are going to fill up fast. Fret not though, a second test will include a larger pool.
