WayForward's Kickstarter For Shantae: Half-Genie Hero Is All The Way Funded
Hot off the release of Duck Tales: Remastered, developer WayForward is finding crowd funding success on Kickstarter. With 10 days left to go, the campaign for Shantae: Half-Genie Hero has hit its mark.
The campaign goal of $400,000 was passed earlier this afternoon, with the current total sitting at over $403,000. The effort will see Shantae: Half-Genie Hero on Wii U, PS3, PS4, Vita, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Steam.
There are a number of stretch goals in place that will see a variety of additional content offerings. The first kicks in at $500,000 and features an entire campaign as Shantae's nemesis, Risky Boots.

Our Take
Given the credibility and success of WayForward's most recent work, this is a campaign with a higher level of assurance than many others. With the studio's history and the groundwork laid to bring the title to all of the platforms mentioned above, I feel more confident about this Kickstarter endeavors than many of the others that cross my desk.
