by Mike Futter on Sep 17, 2013 at 05:53 AM

Major League Gaming has announced most of the teams that will be competing in its Dota 2 Championship later this year. The event will be held in Columbus, Ohio from November 22 through 24, with $50,000 on the line.

The competing teams include Evil Geniuses and Team Liquid from North America and The Alliance, Na'Vi, and Fnatic from Europe. The Alliance and Na'Vi took first and second place respectively at The International 2013, Valve's recent major Dota 2 event. Two additional places are being held for the winners of the MLG Fall Invitational in mid-October and an invitation-only qualifier will be held online.

Tickets are available now in the MLG store.

Our Take
The MLG has just recently started broadcasting Dota 2 events, and the championship in Columbus will likely bring in new viewership thanks to the participants. Having teams like The Alliance and Na'Vi on board means a high level of competition, and an exciting time for viewers in Columbus and at home.
