Final Fantasy Agito Returns

Back before Final Fantasy Type-O (shown) released in Japan for the PSP, the game was known as Final Fantasy Agito XIII. Now Square Enix is planning to release a title called Final Fantasy Agito for the iOS and Android platforms in Japan. 

The trademark for the name was re-registered earlier this year, and the title is set in the world of Orience from Type-O (also containing some that game's characters). It's a free-to-play RPG offering players story choices, boss battles, and microtransactions.

Final Fantasy Agito is set to come out in Japan this winter. No U.S. release date has been announced.

Our Take:
I know that many people have problems with free-to-play/microtransaction-based titles, but RPGs in general seem like they would be a great choice for phones; requiring few concessions.
