Longino confirmed the unfortunate news to The lack of Linux support does not come from technical hurdles per se, but rather due to's policies and its insistence on being able to offer worthwhile customer support. has a policy where if it cannot get a game running on a customer's computer, it will offer a full refund. Longino said, "The architecture of Linux with many common distros, each of them updating fairly often, makes it incredibly challenging for any digital distribution company to be able to properly test the game in question, and then provide support for the release – all of which our users are accustomed to."

Longino did entertain the idea of basically letting Linux customers deal with unforeseeable issues with games themselves, but doesn't consider that a "viable business model." Longino said, "Our model has its drawbacks, as we cannot make everyone happy, but, as of now, we don't plan on introducing Linux support in the foreseeable future."
