Independent developers who applied for independent publishing rights on the Xbox One should be learning more about the process this week.

ID@Xbox, the program where developers can apply to bring their games to Xbox One without the partnership of a publisher, has begun the process of bringing game creators into the Xbox One fold. Microsoft started accepting applications late last month, and according to its official Twitter account, responses to those applicants are going out this week.

Our Take
It's good to hear that the procedure of bringing independent games to Xbox One is in full swing. This application process still allows Microsoft to have a certain amount of say in what games will appear on its platform, but small game creators will still have an easier time bringing their games to Xbox One than for Xbox 360.
