Call Of Duty: Black Ops II Apocalypse DLC To PC And PS3 On September 26

by Mike Futter on Sep 04, 2013 at 09:19 AM

Call of Duty fans on PC and PS3 will finally have the most complete version of Black Ops II at the end of this month. The Apocalypse map pack will be out on September 26, 2013.

The content (which is already available on Xbox Live), contains four new maps (Pod, Frost, Takeoff, and Dig), along with a new Zombies map featuring a giant stomping robot and the original stars of Treyarch's undead-infested mode.

The Apocalypse map pack will be available for $14.99 or as part of the Black Ops II season pass.

Our Take
The painful month of waiting between Xbox Live release and Call of Duty DLC on other platforms is almost at an end (at least for Black Ops II). We're going to begin the process all over again with Call of Duty: Ghosts in just two months time, though. This time, it's not only early DLC that will motivate Xbox One purchases, but the promise of dedicated servers, too. I have no doubt that the timed exclusivity deals motivate purchases, and for that reason, they aren't going to stop any time soon.
