Gearbox Working On Two New Next-Gen Franchises, Chances To Join Beta

by Mike Futter on Sep 02, 2013 at 01:04 PM

At their PAX 2013 panel, Gearbox revealed that it is working on two next-generation new properties. Those planning to buy into a high-definition stream of the upcoming Gearbox Community Day can guarantee their spot in a beta for one of them.

The event is coming up on Saturday, September 14, 2013. It is typically held in the studio's home city of Dallas, Texas. This year, those who can't make it to Community Day can still participate. In addition to the standard definition stream, Gearbox is offering a bundle of goodies for those looking for a higher resolution experience.

In addition the HD stream, viewers will get exclusive Borderlands 2 heads and skins, access to a beta for one of the studio's unannounced titles, and free copies of Homeworld Classic and Homeworld HD. You can buy your digital bonus pack for $19.99 via Gearbox's Twitch page.

For those that like to honor their favorite games with collectibles, Gearbox announced a line of large vault hunter statuettes. The plan is to make the bases interlocking, so owners can create dioramas. Additionally, they will come with different arms for a variety of poses.
