Metro: Last Light Coming To Mac And Linux

by Mike Futter on Aug 27, 2013 at 12:39 PM

It's good news when Mac and Linux users get ports of games. It's great news when Steamplay is supported.

If you happen to own the PC version of Metro: Last Light, you'll be happy to know that when it arrives on Mac on September 10, 2013, (and later on Linux), it will be in your library for those platforms. These new versions, developed by 4A Games, will also support the DLC and season pass.

Unfortunately, if you want to play Metro 2033, you're going to need a PC or an Xbox 360. Still, Last Light is a great experience, as you can find out in our review.

Our Take
It might take a while, but more games are coming to Mac and Linux. It's nice to see Deep Silver giving these non-standard platforms a bit of love. Our fingers are crossed that Saints Row IV sees the same treatment.
