This Week In Mobile – Plants Vs. Zombies And Baldur’s Gate Return
In our latest edition of This Week in Mobile, PvZ 2 finally hits the App Store worldwide and the distributing team behind Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition settles its mysterious legal disputes. Although this week's lineup happens to be iOS-centric, Android players should know that Sine Mora and Zombie RPG Minesweeper are now available in the Google Play store.
Plants vs. Zombies 2

The verdict is in – Plants vs. Zombies 2 is a hit. Some users haven’t taken kindly to PopCap’s choice to go freemium, but it’s worth keeping in mind that the first PvZ game wasn’t necessarily cheap at launch. Also, it can be completed without spending a penny of real money. PvZ 2 retains all the tower defending you love while adding plant types, gameplay mechanics, and environments like Egypt and the Wild West. There’s absolutely no reason not to give this game a try.
Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition

Due to contractual issues with Atari, distributor Beamdog pulled Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition from online stores in June. Thankfully, those issues have now been resolved, and the remake of BioWare’s original Baldur’s Gate is for sale again. For those who never had a chance to play the 1998 title, its Enhanced Edition offers more than a few major updates, both visually and to gameplay. The game's official website says it will be coming to Android soon.
Solar Flux

Price: $3.99
Solar Flux is a self-described “cosmic explorer” in full retina HD. Created by developer Firebrand Games, this puzzle game requires players to navigate outer space while restoring stars to a state of equilibrium by delivering plasma fragments. Fans of the iOS title Osmos will find a familiar ambiance here, but Solar Flux’s gravity mechanics and space theme have a unique character of their own.
Game of Watchcraft: Spawn of Squishy

Price: $0.99
Clicker’s series of “LCDemakes” takes popular modern titles and reimagines them as LCD games from the 1980s, such as Nintendo’s Game and Watch. The theme of Game of Watchcraft, for all intents and purposes, plays off of Blizzard’s World of Warcraft, though the game’s title seems to reference Game of Thrones and Minecraft as well. It’s difficult to describe this game’s aesthetic if you aren’t familiar with Game and Watch, so check out the official trailer here.
