Nintendo today detailed how Sonic Lost World on the Wii U (shown) and the 3DS will play together when both titles hit on October 22.

The 3DS version developed by Dimps (in conjunction with Sonic Team) will have it's own 2D and 3D action, but if you own both versions you can use them together.

The handheld version of Lost World allows you to create customized remote-controlled helpers, like a helicopter, and then use that as a support vehicle in the Wii U version. This feature is transferable via a wireless connection.

Our Take
It's great that these two games will work with each other, but for the sake of the 3DS version, we hope that not only can the 3DS version stand on its own two feet, but that there is something the Wii U Lost World can do for the handheld one.
