Another batch of games has been given the go-ahead for Steam listing. This time, there are a couple of notable inclusions.

  • A Hat in Time
  • Among the Sleep
  • BROFORCE
  • Centration
  • Chasm
  • Darkwood
  • Deadly Premonition: the Director's Cut
  • Dexster Audio Editor
  • Divekick
  • GraphicEditor openCanvas
  • Operation Black Mesa
  • Project Awakened
  • Recruits
  • Rekoil
  • Shelter
  • StarMade

Rekoil by Plastic Piranha is a competitive shooter intended for modding. Divekick is a clever fighting game with only two buttons (jump and kick). Deadly Premonition: The Director's Cut is a cult favorite that is finally making the leap from console to PC.

Steam's Greenlight program has come under fire, as the determination process has been unclear to developers. Rekoil had been in the queue for 321 days, and sat in the Top 30 for the past six months. Even after such a long haul, the team is happy to have the approval it's needed.

"It means more to me to get onto Steam this way, because gamers have validated our idea. Jason Brice, the entire Rekoil team, and I, are looking forward to the game getting in their hands this fall," said Kevin Dent of Plastic Piranha.

Our Take
It's always great to see another batch of games headed for the Steam marketplace. This group includes a number of gems, and hopefully marks the beginning of a much-needed tuning for the Greenlight program.
