Interceptor Entertainment Pays Tribute To Original Rise Of The Triad Soundtrack

by Mike Futter on Jun 25, 2013 at 06:06 AM

What is The Legend of Zelda without the epic overworld theme? What is Final Fantasy without the familiar twinkling of the crystal music? What is Rise of the Triad without Lee Jackson's driving and eclectic compositions to splatter your foes by?

In the latest Rise of the Triad developer diary, the team at Apogee Software and Interceptor entertainment discuss how they've brought the classic tracks of the 1994 release into the twenty-first century. Composer Andrew Hulshult has masterfully updated the tunes, and with Jackson available for consultation, fans should have confidence that the game will "feel" right at its trademark breakneck pace.

You can check out the full developer diary below, and read up on Hulshult's process on Interceptor's official site. If that's not enough for you, the team published a podcast all about the music. Itching to hear some of the tracks? Check out the Rise of the Triad tunes on Soundcloud
