It's Official, Next-Gen Games Holding Fast At $60 (At Least For First-Party)

One more piece of the next-gen pricing puzzle has been clicked into place. Microsoft will be holding retail prices constant at $60. Publishers still have yet to disclose their own plans, though.

This news, which comes by way of Gamespot, should come as a relief to consumers afraid that new hardware would bring a new price tag. When the Playstation 4 was announced, president and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment America Jack Tretton confirmed that the games for that system will range between $.99 and $60.
