e3 2013

After pledging continued support for indie developers, Microsoft vice president Phil Harrison announced that a bigger and better Minecraft is coming to Xbox One.

Minecraft has been a huge hit on XBLA, and it appears that Microsoft is planning for similar success with Mojang's sandbox title on Xbox One. Harrison didn't say too much about the downloadable title, other than that it features bigger maps and more multiplayer options. Map size was considerably limited in the XBLA version of Minecraft, so having expanded environments to explore will surely appeal to console players.
