Deadly Premonition: The Director's Cut Gets First DLC

by Jeff Cork on Jun 06, 2013 at 05:18 AM

Rising Star Games has released a batch of DLC for Deadly Premonition: The Director's Cut. The downloads let players dress Agent York and Emily up in new outfits, and reskin their cars.

As you can see from the descriptions below, some of the outfits provide additional in-game bonuses. The Special-Ops Suit in particular makes him more effective all around, turning York into a tougher, more alert (and wealthy) agent.

  • Espresso Suit – Tolerance to Hunger and Tiredness x3 ($2.29)
  • Field-Ops Suit – Increase HP and Attack Power x3 ($2.29)
  • High Roller Suit – Money Rewards x3 ($2.29)
  • Happy Songkran Suit – Money Rewards x3 ($2.29)
  • Special-Ops Suit – Increase HP and Attack Power x2 - Tolerance to Hunger and Tiredness x2 - Money Rewards x2 ($3.24)
  • Catgirl Outfit – Character skin only ($1.59)
  • Friday Night Outfit – Character skin only ($1.59)
  • The Blue GT – Enhanced Handling ($1.59)
  • The Devil's Red – Increased max speed and faster acceleration ($1.59)
  • The Green Drifter – Expert car, drifting capabilities ($1.59)
  • Chibi Chibi Bang Bang – Vehicle skin only ($1.59)
There's a fairly steep admission price if you plan on picking it all up. The grand total is a cool $21.94. That may not break the bank, but it is more than half the price of the full game itself. Next week, Rising Star plans to release a Real Estate Pack, which lets York pick up some property in Greenville. It seems strange that so much content was left out of the director's cut. Perhaps it will all be compiled in a special Deadly Premonition: The Director's Cut – The Complete Special Edition in a few years.
