The Last Guardian Pops Up On Official E3 Site

by Jeff Cork on Jun 03, 2013 at 03:34 AM

The Last Guardian has suffered numerous delays since it was announced at E3 2009. If a listing on an official E3 site means anything, there's a chance we could be seeing more of the game in a few weeks.

The image above was grabbed from the E3 Insider, a site operated by the ESA, the organization behind E3. Of course, don't take it as anything close to confirmation for the time being.

The Last Guardian is designed and directed by Fumito Ueda, who is known for his work on the acclaimed games Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. It's been delayed over the years – and even had its trademark abandoned – but Sony has remained steadfast in saying that development for the game is still active. If, indeed, it does make an appearance at the show, we wouldn't be completely floored to see it on Sony's new PS4 hardware.

We've reached out to Sony for comment, and we'll update the story if we hear anything. Regardless, we'll know what's going on in about a week.

Take a look at our preview on the game for a quick refresher on The Last Guardian.
