Last night, Robotoki founder and former Infinity Ward creative strategist Robert Bowling tweeted about an alarming experience. The company's offices were invaded by armed LAPD officers, the offices swept through, and Bowling was detained.

The culprit turned out to be a life-sized statue of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare series' Ghost. After making sure the situation was safe and that Bowling was neither a hostage nor a terrorist, the officers on the scene relaxed and chatted about games.

The Game Informer staff knows what Bowling went through, as a similar incident occurred at our offices not too long ago. Robotoki has Ghost. We have Snake.

He lives in editor-in-chief Andy McNamara's office now, but he used to adorn our ground-floor lobby. After the building alarm got tripped one night, Snake almost took a few rounds, as officers assumed he was an intruder. He was relocated shortly thereafter. At least we didn't put a cardboard box on his head.

Let this be a lesson. Life-sized statues of armed protagonists are cool, but maybe they shouldn't be visible from the street.
