Last week during its 2013 earnings call, EA indicated that all of its next generation console and PC titles would be running on either Frostbite 3 or a new sports engine. With the recent launch of its Frostbite website, another piece of the puzzle has emerged.
EA will be bringing a version of its next generation engine to mobile platforms. The website details the project.
One of our most exciting current projects is called Frostbite Go, a mobile division empowering EA game developers with Frostbite’s proven excellent workflows and features to bring true Frostbite experiences to all major mobile platforms.
The website also confirms that Battlefield 4 will be the first Frostbite 3 title at retail.
