Rumor: Could Maxwell Be Suiting Up With Batman In Next Scribblenauts?

Last year's Scribblenauts Unlimited featured cameos from Mario, Link, Yoshi, and loads of other Nintendo references when the game hit the Wii U and 3DS. If rumors are to be believed, developer 5th Cell has similar plans for the DC universe in the next entry in the word-based puzzle series.

IGN says it has sources within the studio that say the next Scribblenauts game, once called Scribblenauts Unmasked, will feature well-known characters and locations from the DC universe. Gameplay examples include Max having to use an explosive sandwich to get past Killer Croc or figuring out which of two police officers is actually the villainous Clayface in disguise.

If there's any truth to this, we're bound to learn more before or around June's E3 event. Stay tuned.
