Rumor: Call Of Duty: Ghosts Is The Next Title In The Franchise
Astute NeoGAF members are at it again, this time with rumored information on the next Call of Duty title. Box art appeared on the website of UK retailer Tesco (pictured below) before disappearing.
If the images are accurate, than the next entry in Activision's marquee series will be available on current-generation hardware. No listings have appeared for the PlayStation 4 or "other next-generation consoles." This year's outing should be headed up by Infinity Ward, and the box-art image would confirm this (if accurate). You might recall that a character by the name of Ghost who featured prominently in Modern Warfare 2, though depending on the timing of this title in the series, he may or may not factor in.
This isn't the first rumor we've seen regarding the next Call of Duty game, but the presence of the box artwork on a major retailer's website lends credence. We've reached out to Activision for comment,and will update should we hear back.
