Bungie Seeking Trademarks On Five Words

The independent studio filed five trademark applications with the government this week. Three have previously appeared in relation to its upcoming sci-fi shooter Destiny.

Cabal and Vex are names of enemies in Destiny. Fallen has popped up in marketing materials for the game. Hive and Glimmer sound kind of sci-fi, but their possible relevance to Destiny is currently unknown.

Should the trademarks be granted, Bungie can use them for everything from interactive game software to Halloween costumes and footwear.
