Company of Heroes 2’s is now releasing a little bit later than originally planned. The game will now launch on June 25.

Sega acquired Relic Entertainment and the franchise in THQ’s asset auction. "Our acquisition by SEGA has given us the chance to work with a new partner that has a great track record of working with long standing PC franchises,” said executive producer Jonathan Dowdeswell. “It gives us great confidence to know that we have a well aligned team working to bring the best experience we can to gamers around the world."

Although, the wait stings a little, producer Greg Wilson assures it’s for the best, as the company is set on delivering, “the high quality sequel fans deserve.” And not all is disappointing. Wilson also said that the company would be looking to fans to help test and balance multiplayer in an upcoming closed beta.

Company of Heroes 2 will hit Mac and PC on June 25.
