Rumor: EA Closes BioWare's San Francisco Office
The scuttlebutt is that BioWare San Francisco has closed up shop. This leaves about 25 to 30 employees – the group responsible for Dragon Age Legends and Mirror’s Edge 2D – out of work.
According to a source from the studio, Electronic Arts thought it was “too expensive” to keep the developer running.
The studio, formerly known as EA2D, merged with the role-playing game giant in August of 2011.
There has been no official word about the closing from EA, and we will update the story if we hear anything.
