Monster Hunter 3 Getting Patch To Add Cross-Region Gameplay

Earlier this month, Monster Hunter fans learned that the upcoming Wii U release Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate wouldn't allow cross-region gameplay, blocking North American players from slaying monsters with their fellow hunters across the globe. The decision sparked outcry on the game's official forums, and it appears that Capcom was paying attention. The company has announced that a patch to address that issue will be coming after the game launches.

Capcom says the update will be available for download a month after the game launches on March 19. It will allow up to four players from North America and Europe to join up. It also adds off-TV compatibility, meaning that players can keep adventuring by playing solely on the console's GamePad.
