A Wii U version of Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes is slated to release in spring, with Traveller’s Tales implementing features that utilize the console’s GamePad.

Chief among the additions is the ability for one player to use the GamePad in cooperative play, while the other uses the TV. This avoids having to share the screen when Batman and Robin have conflicting ideas on what area to explore next.

Other changes the GamePad brings include an interactive map and character-select ability, and support for off-TV mode.

Lego Batman 2 was a step in the right direction for the series with its voice acting and open-world exploration. Read our review to see what’s in store in the Wii U version.
