Indie Fighting Game Divekick To Hit PS3/Vita/PC
Divekick may have started out as a parody of the genre, but it looks like some fighting fans are taking it plenty seriously.
The game has procured a publisher – Iron Galaxy Studios – and will come out on PS3, PC, and Vita this spring.
Divekick features two-button controls, an old-school look, and precision timing, and it received fanfare at the Ultimate Fighting Game Tournament 8 last year.
"Divekick is good at two things: teaching some of the basics of fighting game to players of any skill, and ending friendships," says One True Game Studios' Adam Heart. "I partnered with Iron Galaxy because I know they love these things as much as I do. They also gave me large burlap sacks filled with cash, which certainly didn’t hurt. This game was made by the community, for the community, to completely tear apart the community."
