Warner Bros. Announces Lego: Legends of Chima

by Ben Reeves on Jan 02, 2013 at 05:59 AM

The next Lego game won't be based on an outside license, but on on Lego's own brand of fantasy-themed Chima sets. It also won't be one game, but three!

Warner Bros. is working on three Chima games. One is a mini racing game called Lego Legends of Chima: Speedorz, which is available today on Lego.com and will release tomorrow for iOS.

More importantly, Lego Legends of Chima: Laval's Journey is a full on Lego adventure, which will hit the 3DS and Vita this summer.

Finally this fall, WB Montreal will release a free-to-play MMO called Lego Legends of Chima Online where players get to build weapons and structures while they interact with different Chima characters.

"We are doing something innovative with LEGO Legends of Chima by making three distinct videogame experiences on a variety of platforms," said Samantha Ryan, Senior Vice President, Production and Development, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. "By creating multiple LEGO videogame experiences for one brand, we are catering to today's diverse gaming community, as well as establish a rewards system for players of all three games."
