Co-op Shooter God Mode Announced

by Adam Biessener on Dec 20, 2012 at 07:37 AM

Saber Interactive (TimeShift, Inversion) announced a downloadable co-op action romp for PlayStation Network, Xbox Live Arcade, and PC today. Developed by Saber subsidiary Old School Games, God Mode seeks to remind us of the joy in mindlessly blasting through the minions of Hades.

"It doesn't take itself too seriously," Saber Interactive and Old School Games head Matthew Karch told IGN. "It is lighthearted fun and focuses on arcade style action over a deep story. I think this makes sense for downloadable games, where players are looking for some quick, thoughtless action."

Up to four local or online players can team up to slaughter their way to freedom from the Maze of Hades they've been condemned to, accompanied by tongue-in-cheek narration in the vein of the bombastic announcer from just about every multiplayer shooter ever.

Head over to IGN for more screens and details in their exclusive reveal of God Mode, slated to hit electronic retail on PS3, 360, and PC early next year.
