by O'Dell Harmon on Dec 17, 2012 at 11:00 AM

The HD remastered version of NiGHTS into Dreams was released on Steam today.

The original NiGHTS was a dreamlike platformer for the Sega Saturn. The game wasn't a huge success at retail but won critical praise and a large cult following in the years that followed. NiGHTS was the brainchild of Sonic Team head and Sonic the Hedgehog creator Yuji Naka. Now, the game has be rereleased in HD form, with new features including updated graphics, online leaderboards, and widescreen support. The PC version is $10 and comes with Christmas Nights, a two-level holiday themed version of the game that was released in 1996, as a bonus.

NiGHTS into Dreams HD had previously been released for Xbox Live and PlayStation Network in October of this year.
