Bryce Harper Is The First Candidate For The Cover Of MLB 13 The Show
The first rookie in nearly three decades to make the All-Star team may also live up to his dream of being on a video game cover.
"When you're younger, you always dream of being in a video game, or being on the cover," Harper said "Winning a World Series would be the top-notch goal, but off the field, this is something very cool."
MLB 13 The Show has a beginner mode that teaches players the ropes of the game through a detailed tutorial mainly focusing on pitching and hitting the ball. This year's installment also has new post season modes and new features that focus on the art of the game.
"We're trying to refocus things back to on you and your player," said Ramone Russell, Sony San Diego's community manager for MLB The Show. "Hearing the on-field chatter, the base coaches telling you to get back, the crowd booing you or chanting your name, being a first-person baseball experience."
