Wreck-it Ralph did well in the box-office and continues to thrive. It hasn't been officially greenlit by Disney, but the film's director, Rich Moore, is confident about a sequel.

In an interview with Screen Rant, Moore said that he and John C. Reilly, the actor who plays Ralph, are already discussing where the story should go next. Moore also said that getting Nintendo's Mario in the sequel is a high priority, and he wants him to more than just a background easter egg like many of the video game characters featured in the first film.
