Nintendo Shows Off Its Wii U Prototype

In the latest Iwata Asks piece featured on Nintendo's site, Iwata and pals showed off where the Wii U came from. Apparently is its earlier stages, it was coupled with the Wii Zapper controller. In the piece, Iwata also talks about how tinkering around with the Wii U prototypes led to the addition of a gyroscope in the 3DS' hardware, something that caused a large setback in production.
