Five Games I'm Sad I Missed This Year

by Ben Reeves on Oct 25, 2012 at 02:30 PM

It's that time of year when even the most diligent gamer begins to fall behind on his gaming checklist. I haven't been able to play everything I've wanted to this year. Have you?

When I look at the list of games I've conquered, I feel like I've had a full plate of rich gaming moments: Mass Effect 3, Trine 2, Journey, The Walking Dead, Max Payne 3, Diablo III, Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, New Super Mario Bros. 2, XCOM: Enemy Unknown, and a few others I probably missed. I've had a pretty full gaming schedule this year, but I've still missed more than a couple games l'd like to play. Here are the highlights I'm looking forward to going back to after Assassin's Creed III and Halo 4.

Dishonored -- I love sneaking through games, and Dishonored looks to give players that option but still make them feel powerful.

SSX -- I was obsessed with SSX Tricky and SSX 3 in college. I'm sad I still haven't played this one. Now that I'll be hitting the slopes in real life, this could be the perfect time to pick it up.

Double Dragon Neon --Double Dragon was a childhood favorite. I can't wait to blast though this with a friend some weekend. Too bad I don't live with my brother anymore. I don't usually say that.

Mark of the Ninja -- Another stealth game. I told you that I like sneaking. This one's challenging, but I hear there is a twist at the end, and I need to discover it.

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings -- An RPG with a deep combat system and a rich story full of meaningful choices. Sign me up.
