NFL Films Reunites Christian Okoye With Tecmo Bowl
On the series NFL Films Presents, the league's documentarians examine the lasting cult surrounding the classic football game Tecmo Bowl, and even interview in-game favorites like Christian Okoye (pictured above).
The segment of the show is a mini documentary that examines the lasting appeal and influence of Tecmo Bowl. In the episode, cameramen follow four of the the world's top Tecmo Bowl players in the run-up to the recent Madison Tecmo Tournament.
The crew also speaks to current and former NFL players about the game, including Atlanta Falcons star tight end Tony Gonzalez. They also set former running back Christian Okoye, who, along with Bo Jackson, was considered the best of the in-game Tecmo Bowl players, down in front of a YouTube video showing a player who rushes Okoye from end-to-end of the field and back on the way to a touchdown (game clip below).
