The winner of the $1 million grand prize, and the title of League of Legends world champions went to Taiwan's Tapei Assassins.

After a few setbacks, the Tapei Assassins took on Korea's Azuba Frost in Los Angeles last night for the League of Legends' Season 2 world championships.

Riot Games shared a number of statistics about the free to play MOBA's impressive user base on Friday. After looking at those statistics, it's no surprise that there were 10,000 fans on-hand for the championship in Los Angeles, and over 900,000 people watching the championship online.
