Avengers: Battle For Earth On Wii U Has A Mode Free Of Motion Controls

It's unclear whether you can play the whole game without motion controls, but the Wii U will offer at least one mode that allows you to play the game using the touchscreen.

The news comes from a presentation at the New York Comic Con. The developers behind the Avengers: Battle for Earth were holding a panel on the Kinect and Wii U game. On the Wii U, players play the game using the Wii Remote and Nunchuck, but there will be a mode where a second player can use the Wii U's tablet controller. The example offered at the panel was a father wanting to play while sitting on the couch with an energetic child.

There is a demo for Battle for Earth available on Xbox Live right now, and the game is set for release on October 30.
