Facebook Now Has 1 Billion Monthly Users

Facebook has hit a milestone, attracting one billion monthly users. Founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg made the announcement on the company's website, adding that it's his hope that his company will eventually connect the rest of the world, too.

Zuckerberg recently said that 235 million people are playing games on the site. The company also released an accompanying document, filled with a dizzying amount of statistics. More than 219 billion photos have been uploaded since the service's February 2009 launch, and users have "liked" 1.13 trillion things.

Although Facebook gaming has taken its lumps from the hardcore set, there are still a few titles that are worth worth checking out.
