The Importance Of Review Scores

by Matthew Kato on Oct 01, 2012 at 08:04 AM

When the wave of review scores hits for a game, it always gets gamers buzzing. Was the game scored too high? Was it too low? But regardless of whether the scores were appropriate or not, how do they affect your buying habits?

Obviously the Game Informer editors put a lot of thought into our review scores, but as the game-buying consumer, it's all up to you. When you see a low or high score, does it make you more or less inclined to buy a game? Maybe you really trust a reviewer or perhaps you've already honed in a feature of the title you really like, and don't care what someone else thinks.

With Resident Evil 6 (above) getting a wide range of scores (read our review here). and the holiday season about to hit, you're going to have some important decisions to make, with or without the help of review scores.

Let us know your thought process in the comments section below.
