This week in mobile gaming sees the release of a follow up to Angry Birds, the mobile release of FIFA 13, a port of a JRPG from the mid 90s and more.

Name: Bad Piggies
Developer: Rovio Entertainment
Price: iOS-$0.99 Android-Free
Platform: iOS, Android
Love it or hate it, there is no denying the massive popularity of the Angry Birds franchise. Rovio Entertainment is looking to keep their momentum going strong with the release of Bad Piggies. The spin-off of Angry Birds has players building various forms of transportation to assist the pigs in reaching the end of each level. Players can be awarded up to three stars in every level, adding incentive for players to replay levels and get all three stars.

Name: God of Blades
Developer: White Whale Games
Price: $2.99
Platform: iOS
God of Blades is a 2D side-scrolling action game with a sci-fi aesthetic. The game has an auto-run mechanic so players don't need to focus on forward movement of the character, allowing them to put more focus on the combat. Players must anticipate their enemies' strikes and counter accordingly to survive.

Name: FIFA Soccer 13
Developer: EA Sports
Price: $6.99
Platform: iOS
Along with the release of the console versions, FIFA Soccer 13 is getting its release on the App Store this week as well. The game includes online multiplayer, the ability to record and upload replays and a Skill Move button allowing players to pull off different moves with simple flicks. Players can also join the EA Sports Football Club, which allows players to support their favorite club and connect with friends or rivals.

Name: Mooniz HD
Developer: Mooniz Interactive
Price: $1.99
Platform: iOS
Earth is being invaded by adorable creatures from the moon, and it's up to you to eradicate the cute trespassers. Players must tap groups of same colored Mooniz to make them explode and clear room on the screen. Power-ups such as point-multipliers, first aid kits and nukes are available to assist players. Reading the game's description makes me think that maybe humanity is the true evil in this scenario.

Name: WordBoxer
Developer: WordBoxer VOF
Price: Free
Platform: iOS
WordBoxer is a competitive word game where players try to form the best words from a grid of letters to inflict the most damage upon their opponent. Better words translate into better punches. There are 10 rounds per game, and each player gets 3 punches per round. Players have three weight classes to choose from, lightweight, middleweight and heavyweight, which determines the grid size players will be using.

Name: Project Downforce
Developer: Polygame Digital
Price: $1.99 ($0.99 Limited Time)
Platform: Android
Project Downforce is a retro arcade racer with mode 7-style visuals. Players can race against seven opponents in pursuit of the championship title, go through just a single race or try to post the best time in a time trial mode. The game also features adjustable difficulty and seven separate race tracks.
