XCOM PC Demo Available Now
PC gamers have been skeptical of the changes Firaxis is making to XCOM ever since the project was announced. Today, they have a chance to see if those changes enhance or detract from the formula of the classic strategy series, with a two-level demo now available on Steam.
The demo allows players to take on two levels from the single-player campaign, which make up a portion of the tutorial. In addition to experiencing how the combat plays (i.e. getting your crew unceremoniously slaughtered by aliens), players also get a look at the XCOM base and some of the strategic decisions you'll be making when the game releases on October 9.
