Something's Up With Sony's Wipeout
Despite closing Studio Liverpool, messages from the official Facebook and Twitter pages of WipEout 2048 suggest we'll see more games from the series in the future.
The pages first updated with the message "We. Are. Alive," which many speculated meant Liverpool was being re-formed in some capacity. This theory was later put to rest when another update was posted shortly after.
"As you may be aware; Studio Liverpool shut its doors on the 22nd of August 2012. It was a very sad day- the end of an era and will never be forgotten," the message read. "While we wait for news on the future of WipEout, Online play will continue to be supported and there will be plenty of WipEout community events, giveaways and goodies to look forward to!"
Sony was asked to comment on these updates.
