NBA 2K13 Expands To Facebook & More

by Matthew Kato on Sep 05, 2012 at 04:45 AM

2K Sports and developer Visual Concepts will release a clutch of offshoot NBA 2K13 titles for Facebook, iPad, iPhone, etc. this October. The initiative is called NBA 2K Everywhere.

MyNBA2K is a free companion app due in October for iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Android, and Kindle devices that features free throw, dribbling, shooting, and autograph-signing minigames.

NBA 2K: MyLife on Facebook (above, also out in October) lets you import your career avatar from NBA 2K13 for skills competitions with friends. The Facebook game contains a home court builder and features the trappings of the NBA life such as earning endorsements.

Both MyNBA2K and NBA 2K: MyLife will feed info back into the console versions of NBA 2K13 for Xbox 360 and PS3 (out on October 2). For instance, your accomplishments in NBA 2K: MyLife on Facebook will help unlock things like dunk packages in NBA 2K13.

Finally, 2K Sports is also offering a NBA 2K13 mobile game for iPhone, iPod Touch, and Android. This year's mobile game (out in October) introduces a new multiplayer mode.
