If you're attending PAX and love game soundtracks, make sure you pencil this panel in on your Saturday schedule. Entitled "Behind the Music of Blockbuster Video Games," the panel features some of the most prominent and successful composers working in the industry today. Here's a full description:
The panel will feature Jesper Kyd (Darksiders II) [pictured above], Michael McCann (Deus Ex: Human Revolution), Inon Zur (Dragon Age), Marty O'Donnell (Halo), and Sam Hulick (Mass Effect). It should be an interesting discussion of the art and craft of game music, and is hosted by Emily Reese, the host of MPR's Top Score podcast, which specializes in video game music.
It takes place on Saturday, September 1, at 10:30 PST in the Kraken Hall on the first floor of the Grand Hyatt in Seattle.
