Nintendo Showing Off Wii U At PAX

by Jeff Cork on Aug 29, 2012 at 10:53 AM

Nintendo may have opted to stay home instead of going to Gamescom this year, but the company isn't being completely reclusive. If you're attending PAX Prime this week, you'll be able to get your hands on the upcoming Wii U console, courtesy of the company.

Going to the show? Visit Nintendo's booth (lucky number 462) to play Pikmin 3, New Super Mario Bros. U,  ZombiU, and more. There will also be a Kid Icarus: Uprising tournament on August 31 at 6:30 p.m., and the winner will score more than 400 AR cards for the game. If you're a little rusty, Nintendo will be handing series 2 cards out, too.

If that's not enough, PAX attendees can track down special Paper Mario: Sticker Star stickers throughout the show, which runs from August 31 to September 2. And because it's Kirby's 20th anniversary, Nintendo is shooting for a world record on September 1: the largest number of people blowing bubble-gum bubbles at the same time.
