Modder Gives Dark Souls PC An Upgrade

by Jim Reilly on Aug 24, 2012 at 10:03 AM

Dark Souls for PC ships with a fixed rendering resolution of 1024x720. One modder fixed that. NeoGAF user Durante released a mod shortly after the game's release today that enables a higher internal rendering resolution.

So far, everything seems to be gravy. Dark Souls never looked better! Durante offers this warning, though:

So far, this has only been tested on my computer, on the first half hour or so of the game. I can not and will not guarantee that it will work for anyone else, or not have any adverse effect on your game/computer. Use at your own risk! If you encounter any issues that seem like they could be caused by DSfix, let me know.

Check out Durante's website below for installation instructions.

Look for our review sometime next week.
