PlayStation Network Was Not Hacked

A Tweet this afternoon from hacker group Anonymous claimed it acquired tens of millions of accounts from PlayStation Network. The claim was quickly debunked, and Sony clarified to say it was not hacked.

"We’ve confirmed that the recent claim that PlayStation Network was illegally hacked and that customer passwords and email addresses were accessed is completely false," Sony said in a statement. Anonymous has been previously linked to the hacking of PlayStation Network in 2011.

The tweet from Anonymous has since been deleted.
